2) In cooperation with Beit Moriah (Rabbi Shimon Cohen) in Be’er Sheva we offer a giyur course in English of 10 months. During these 10 months there will be 2 days learning per week, consisting of 3 lessons per day. The studies take place in nearby Be’er Sheva. The costs for this course, which is executed by Beit Moriah in Be’er Sheva, are ILS 2.300,- (+/- EUR 450,-) for the 10 months (exl. housing etc.). To run the program, a class of at least 20 students is needed. Mail for dates and further info. (Mail click here). We help finding housing and help with getting a study visa for the period of 10 months.
3) We assist (potential) converts with advise in the difficult process of giyur. We also help to look for each person for the right place to study and help to open a file at the Giyur Beit Din.
4) For the Giyur Department of the National Israeli Rabbinate (http://www.rbc.gov.il/convert/index.asp) we run courses for people who have Christian background and want to do an Orthodox – Jewish giyur.
We advise you to check out the following sites:
- For Giyur in Israel, Holland or Belgium: Shalom-Center.org
- For Giyur in Israel: ITIM.org.il
-
Given the sensitive nature of giyur, especially for people coming from another religious background, we only accept people to the geirim courses that are already serious about their giyur. We absolutely want to avoid unpleasant confrontations with members of one’s ex-faith. For this reason, the Geirim course will not be offered during the time that other courses are being offered.
-
The aim of our courses is strictly educational.
Our aim is to teach you what you want to be taught.
We do not encourage people to convert to Judaism.
